About Us

At Mount Vernon AAU, our mission is to develop young athletes into skilled players and strong leaders through the game of basketball. We are committed to teaching discipline, teamwork, and respect while fostering a lifelong passion for the sport. Our program emphasizes fundamentals, hard work, and accountability—helping each player reach their full potential on the court and in life. Through competitive play, mentorship, and community values, Mount Vernon AAU strives to build champions of character, not just champions of the game.

Eric was raised in Mount Vernon and graduated from MVHS in 1997. He played varsity basketball for three seasons and was a starter for the 1997 team that went 28 and one and placed second in the state tournament.

He continued his playing career for two years at Skagit Valley college, and one year at Pacific University.

Eric is currently the assistant men’s basketball coach at Skagit Valley College
